3 Tips on How to Spread Jesus at Your School
Rom 10:13-15 (NIV)
“‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”
We are sent by God to share his word to the world. How many times haven’t you thought that you would want your friends to find God? But, just as the bible verse says: how can they believe if they haven’t heard and how can they hear about it if no one preaches it for them? But because God has sent you, you are able to preach to your friends. Now it’s up to you, and to help you out here’s 3 tips on how you can talk about and spread Jesus to your school.
Ask if your friends have questions - More people than you know have questions about the Christian faith. So tell your friends that you are a Christian and tell them that you are open to answer the questions they have. And it’s okay not to know, it’s okay to say “I don’t know the answer but I can check with someone that maybe does and come back to you.”
Notes on lockers - This is a very simple but awesome idea. By putting up notes with compliments on, you can make someone's day and it’s a way for your group to be seen by the other students. This NG group from Sweden decided to put up notes on every locker. They stayed after school until every locker had a note that said “You are loved”. They did this because they felt that many of their friends in school were longing for something but they don’t know what it was yet. So they wanted to show that there is more.
Invite them to your NG group - Invite your friends to the NG group, maybe just for them to get to know new people. But what if that’s gonna be the reason they find God?
